Learning about forgiveness.

We took sandwiches,
so as not to get upset at the prices,
in the service station,
three giros on a day trip,
all was mellow and hip.

We flew the swifts around the Tor,
gathered a small crowd,
who I'm sure,
wished they to could fly of the end of the world.

Chatted to a fellow,
by the crystal fountain,
by the small mountain,
we all agreed it had got worse,
felt a little sorry for the kids.

On going into Town,
a man with kaleidoscope eyes,
ran through the crowd,
no one looked at him,
for fear of bringing themselves down.

I talked to a young girl,
who was pushing a tin can with her foot,
I told her to give it a kick,
she did,
someone picked it up
and put it in the bin.

She looked a little confused,
that her new toy,
had been taken away,
I said that it belonged to everyone
and would be made into a fairy necklace,
we left it at that.

The roll up shop,
took my advert for its
window,
was most polite,
the money going to charity.

The girl from Oz,
told me her tale,
sold me a little aqua pendant,
that I knew Lisa would like.

We pulled away in the Pug,
thinking 18 squid was a bit to much for a mug,
but didn't know of the high shop rents.

I think I could earn a living here,
putting things to right,
planting stars in the night,
but I'm in love with a Black country girl,
and the sound of Spaghetti Hendge,
is near enough to the sea for me.

Still I enjoyed the day
and the smiling girl,
in the beautiful bakery,
made it all the more handsome.

I will come down again one day,
as the tom toms,
sent us through the low, wet willow levels,
as if Avalon,
was showing me her charms,
just in case,
I forgot to love and wonder.
