Hope for peace.

I drifted into thankful light,
the fire met the spring warmth
and I toasted hope with good Polish wine.

I fell into a deep restful sleep
and the dreaming muses,
came like magic cruises
and the free bird choir,
were practising for the dawn.

First out of the tree came,
a fairy that this dancing game,
dressed in white silk,
a purse with a blue and yellow flower on.

I was an Austrian Jew said she,
this edelweiss is for thee,
kissed me gently on the cheek,
I felt kind and meek.

Then another,
dressed the same,
I am an American that fell at Sword,
I give you this rose,
for all those that have the rain.

From Eleanor's garden free world gain,
new New York.

Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Slovakia, United Kingdom.

And then as the first morning, after the silencing of guns,
they all came.

Poppies from Belgium and Poland,
marguerite daisies from Denmark,
corn flowers from Estonia and Germany,
a beautiful violet from Greece.

Come into the garden, said she,
they're all here, see.

Lily of the valley,
tulips so bright,
heavens blanket this sweet night.

And the shamrock,
wending it's way,
like a violin stream,
love ever seen.

By the old shed a Maltese centaury,
with the warm geranium of Italy,
to my dreaming throne the poor girl came.

Now smiling strong.
said, this will heal the wrong.

And gave me some French Iris,
that beautiful, butterfly wing blue,
lavender and carnations and pomegranates and linnea.

Finally came not to late,
like a star for fate,
the Latvian Rue the Scottish thistle.

and the dawn came up

and the birds did sing

Arise, 'tis up to you,
this great love coming through.

And all the flowers were gold and blue.

A bohemian man came to my door,
this is for you, said he,
smiled and vanished.

Beautiful, kind, crystal shining vase,
that the waters of Wales did fill,
I placed it on the table,
with the dreaming flowers of the dawn.

And a fresh cup of Russian Camomile tea.

Thanked the newborn
and went to this new land,
with a whistle and a knapsack on my back,
Love does not lack.

Only hope and good neighbours.
