The electric man.

They plugged me into the mains,
they didn't say I was insane,
you wouldn't treat a dandelion like this,
you takin' the piss.

I built a pyramid in a field,
it was a nuclear bomb for the not turned on,
free drugs from the National Health,
the label schizo will earn you lottsa giro wealth.

A friend was kept in the bin for 50 years,
they never let him cry any tears,
forced to work packin' spoons,
Jupiter has many moons.

I thought I'd run away to the fair,
as if you didn't care,
mine's a five bob note,
won a million quid on the tote.

But they sold that to,
made me put a shilling in the meter,
before they wired me in,
like diggin' your own grave,
at the last free Stonehenge rave.

Still it could be worse,
at least I can write verse,
plugging people into the mains,
has brought torrential spring rains.
