The Hare and Hounds.

  We pass the closed down pubs,
  victory in Europe day,
  Max Wall, Laurel and Hardy,
  played a song of the May;
  a pint of mild and ready rub.

  Victorian tilled stairs,
  no cracks, the icons survive,
  dancing with a lady,
  learning to jive.

  John Otway, wild Willy Barrett on bass;
  here the end of the human race,
  scream and play.
